Review: The Deboyo Race bottle
Wondering what to buy that cyclist in your life for Christmas? Why not consider the Deboyo Race bottle? I’ve been using this bottle for approximately 4 months and can highly recommend it.
The stainless steel construction ensures a lifetime of use, particularly compared to plastic bottles. Personally, I find it looks better with age as it develops a charming selection of dints and scratches.

The bottle comes with two lids:

- The flat lid, along with the vacuum technology built in, gives an estimated 12 hours for keeping liquids warm. In tests, my hot chocolate was still drinkable after 12 hours, but it was tepid rather than hot. Tea in the flask was better and warm enough to heat up your insides after a long ride.
- The large push/pull nozzle is great for that quick slurp of water while riding. It’s surprisingly efficient, giving a good flow of whatever you’re drinking. According to the website, the liquid supply is triple some water bottles, and there is no need to ‘squeeze’ and ‘suck hard’ to get to your drink.
The bottle is BPA-free, and although it’s recommended to hand-wash it, I have put the bottle (not the lids) into the dishwasher with no problems.
The bottle fits nicely into all the plastic and carbon bottle cages I have on my bikes. I have a metal bottle holder on my son’s bike, and whilst it fitted, it clinked metal against metal when riding over any bumps, which was annoying!
